Hi all,

I have 2 questions:

1) Where can I find a detail of the charges/use for my phone

2) I received 2 sms for  2 charges yesterday, but I haven ́t used my phone.

 I

 want my money back.

0.25 + 0.38 EUR

I think you are charging me small quantities without using the phone and get all of my credit.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Mary

Hi Marco,

I guess that Vodafone is happy with this to happen (not you, but your company... how much is 0.25 eur for 1000 people and for 1 million....)

I have found a way to prevent that your sim gets connected to the internet. Doing the below from the android manual.

¨ If the incorrect network or wrong APN settings are set, you will not be able to use the internet through the data network and so on.¨

So, I have added an APN to the vodafone's sim with wrong settings and assign the sim to it. Now your sim cannot connect to internet and Vodafone cannot get 0.25 eur from me anymore.

Best Regards,

Maria

PD: your solution is not practical because I need the vodafone´s SIM for calls/SMS.

I still feel that Vodafone is cheating. Shame!

Good afternoon Mary, welcome to the Vodafone Community! 🙂

I see that you are using a prepaid plan. It is not possible to view your usage with prepaid. Many devices keep track of their data usage. Consult your mobile phone's manual for this.

Yesterday I see that a data connection was set up by your device at 10:20 and 20:21. If data is used, then call credit is deducted. We can therefore not reimburse this.

It is best to turn off the entire data connection in your device if you do not want to use it. This will prevent costs in the future.

Dear Marco,

I have 2 sim cards, one is yours and the other one from UK and  I use my UK sim for data.

if it is as you say then your card gets connected to internet, I guess for a couple of seconds, and then I navigate using my UK card credit.

It has to be like that because your credit does not disappeard... just 0.25 eur from time to time, what makes some money at the end from me and from other customers I guess.

Last question. How can I prevent that your vodafone card gets connected to internet? and It is not the main card on my phone.

Best regards,

Maria

PD: To be honest I feel that vodafone cheats on me.

Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for your phone to connect briefly in this situation @Maria1a1. Once a phone connects, it immediately starts loading things like the weather and new messages.

If these types of problems continue to occur, it is best to remove the SIM card from your phone.

I understand that it is strange that data is being used unnoticed, but we are really not cheating.
