Tried twice and get no response from the automated activation system....! endless typing of the numbers, but then o email and no cnnection, no message, etc. I've had this problem for five days and don't see what I can do to activate the damned thing.

The best thing you can do is contact customer service. You can call this but if you like it better to chat you can also start an online chat. These are currently the fastest ways to activate your SIM card.
