How to disable Bytemobile transparent proxying?

The automatically injected javascript, transparent proxying, and image recompression make it very difficult to use the 3G dongle for technical work.
 
Some Googling seems to suggest I can disable it by visiting http://1.2.3.50/ups/ but this doesn't provide any options to do so.

These functions cannot be disabled on your phone, they are how our network works. This is dictated by the APN you are using. The upside is that this reduces traffic in the network (faster network) and your data-usage

There is also an APN that can be activated on you subscription if that's necessary that doesn't have these features. I'd give a quick call to our technical support (Smartphone Crew) via 1201. They can discuss this with you 😄
