How do I switch to Nano SIM card??

I would like to know how I switch my current pre-paid sim card to a nano card? It doesn't fit my new smartphone, and I need a nano sim card. Is it possible to order a nano card, keeping the current Vodafone number? Thanks in advance for your help!
